Traditional flat roofing membranes (built up felt and asphalt) should last between 15 (felt) and 30 years (asphalt) if installed to a high standard. Of course the quality of the installation will massively affect the longevity of the roof, with a poor installation potentially lasting only a few years. We are also approved installers of Resitrix EPDM hybrid membrane. Resitrix combines the advantages of synthetic rubber (EPDM) and a modified polymer bitumen backing with heat welded seams. It is 2.5 mm thick and has a non slip surface.
