Removing and disposing of the old thatch and battens if necessary and installing any desired waterproofing and fireproof barriers before replacing all or part of the roof in either straw or water reed of the highest quality.

Removing the worn out ridge and replacing it with a new ridge of Triticale straw held in place using a traditional cross spar pattern of hazel spars and liggers and decorated with your choice of block cut.

Repairing leaks, damaged or prematurely worn areas of the roof where possible to maintain the roof's structural integrity and allow it to reach its full lifespan before re-thatching is needed.

Installing protective wire to prevent damage to the thatch and to ensure a long-lasting finish.
